Sergeant First Class (SFC) Dante Copeland, is a 14-year active duty Soldier with Army Aviation Attack Helicopter and is currently stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. SFC Copeland successfully completed two combat tours in IRAQ and a tour in Korea among other Army missions. He received a Purple Heart for injuries suffered in combat during his initial tour in IRAQ. SFC Copeland has been awarded the Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, IRAQ Campaign Medal – 4 Combat Stars, Army Commendation Medal -3rd Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal -4th Oak Leaf Cluster, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Korean Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Overseas Ribbon, & the Good Conduct Medal.

In 2012, SFC Copeland received one of the highest honors in the Army – induction into the SGT Audie Murphy Club, for exhibiting the highest levels of Leadership & Performance- the Best of the Best.

SFC Copeland is the son of retired Army Master Sergeant Harold Copeland – a member of A Hero’s Welcome.
