A Hero’s Welcome, we have been invited by the Springfield Township Police Department, in conjunction with the Target Corporation, to join them as they again,  sponsor the annual “Crime Prevention and National Night Out” celebration on Tuesday August 5th.

Officer Pat McKenna said “Your support has made this an outstanding event which we believe there is nothing like it anywhere else.  If you have not done so already, and are interested in supporting the event, please let me know as soon as possible as tables are limited.  Thank you and we greatly appreciate your support.”

A Hero’s Welcome will be happy to join Springfied’s Nite Out and set up an info table to let the community know about our organization and hopefully get new members to join AHW too! Please let me know if you would like to help man our info table.

More info about the event

National Night out is designed to:

  1.       Heighten crime and drug prevention;
  2.       Generate support for and participation in local anti crime efforts;
  3.       Strengthen neighborhood spirit and Police-Community partnerships; and
  4.       Send a message to criminals letting them know Springfield residents are organized and committed to keeping Springfield Township a safe place to live and work.

On the evening of August 5th from 6 PM to 9 PM, area residents are reminded to lock their doors, turn on exterior lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and Police Officers.  This event will be held at the Springfield Township Country Club Pool located at 400 West Sproul Road.  The pool will be open that night to all Township residents so they may spend the evening with family and neighbors.

We are also asking companies, organizations and businesses for food, drink, monetary donations for sponsoring activities and for raffle prizes.  Your generosity and support will help make this event a great success again.  Several hundred residents attended the event last year and all sponsorships will receive public acknowledgment.

The event continues to grow each year and in order for us to accommodate as many as possible, we ask in advance to let us know if your business/organization intends to participate in some capacity prior to tables being reserved.   There are limited tables so please respond as soon as possible.  Thank you again for your continuous support as the night would not be a success without you and your organization.
